The Chao Center provides the following services to the pharmaceutical industry:

• Formulation Development
• Analytical Development and Testing
• Assistance in Preparing Regulatory Submissions

The Chao Center is located in the world-renown Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette, Indiana.  The Purdue Research Park houses more than 100 high-technology companies and employs over 2,500 individuals.  

The Chao Center was initiated through a donation from Dr. Allen Chao and his wife Lee Hwa-Chao, both alumni, to the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences at Purdue University.  The Chao Center’s mission is Preeminence in Pharmaceutical Education, Development, and Manufacturing.  The Center is associated with Purdue University, the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and owned and operated by the Purdue Research Foundation. 

Revenue above operating expenses is returned to the Purdue Research Foundation and Purdue University to support educational needs.
